The tournament is celebrating its 30th anniversary from the first event in 1978 when it was originally known as the Southwestern Collegiate.
The 54-hole tournament begins on Monday with a 36-hole shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The field for this event includes five teams ranked in Golfweek’s top-30: No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Southern California, No. 8 Stanford, No. 9 Tennessee and No. 28 Pepperdine, along with Brigham Young, California, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington.
The Tennessee lineup will feature Chris Paisley, Robin Wingardh, David Holmes, Philip Pettitt, and Charlie Ford.
Paisley has been one of the Vols top golfers this season, earning three top-10 finishes and a 71.61 scoring average which are both tops on the team. His last top-10 finish was a tie for second place at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate in January.
Wingardh has two top-10 finishes this year, a tie for fifth at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate and a tie for ninth at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate.
Holmes has three top-25 finishes this season, his latest a tie for 21st place at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational where he carded a 72-74-76--222.
Ford was the top finisher for the Vols last time out, jumping 16 spots on the final day to finish tied for 13th. Ford shot his best round of the tournament, shooting a 2-under-par 70, finishing the tournament at 3 over par.
Pettitt has competed in every tournament this season for Tennessee and ranks third on the team with a 72.00 scoring average.
