The No. 15 Tennessee men's golf team travels today to Westlake Village, Calif., to compete in the USC Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Southern California. At last year's even the Vols fired a 296-297-287--880 to finish seventh.
Played at North Ranch Country Club, a par-72, 6,671-yard course, the 54-hole tournament runs Monday and Tuesday.
Competition begins with 36 holes on Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time. Play concludes with a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
The field includes Brigham Young, California, Coastal Carolina, Loyola Marymount, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Stanford, TCU, Texas Tech, UCLA, USC and Washington State.
Ford fired a season-low 67 in the third and final round to finish tied for 11th at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational, Jan. 18-20.
Pettitt leads the team (15 rounds or more) in scoring average with a 72.50.
Paisley has carded seven rounds of par or better with one top-10 finish so far in the 2006-07 season.
At last year's event, Mount fired a final-round score of 74 to finish at 6-over-par for the tournament. His scorecard of 75-70-74--219 was good enough for 18th place.
Weiss, a senior, has competed in 19 tournaments during his career at Tennessee and owns a 75.00 career scoring average.
