Popson is a junior from Davenport, Fla, near Orlando.
Popson leads the Lady Vols in scoring average at 73.92, and rounds of par or better with 11.
She tied for medalist honors this year at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic for her fifth collegiate title.
Popson won four times during her sophomore season, including an incredible three out of four tournaments late in the campaign. Among her trophies were an SEC championship and an NCAA West Regional championship.
She was named to the 2011 All-America first teams by both the National Golf Coaches Association and Golfweek Magazine.
Popson is one of eight members named to the U.S. Curtis Cup team that is competing next month in Scotland against a team from Great Britain and Ireland.
Before coming to UT, she won 13 times on the Florida Junior Tour and was that tour's 2008 player of the year.
