Garrick Porteous, a 2012 graduate, also put in some serious work this weekend. Porteous was selected to play for his home country of England in the World Amateur Team Championship.
The event took place Thursday, Oct. 4th - Sunday, Oct. 7th in Antalya, Turkey at the Cornelia Golf Club and the Antalya Golf Club.
The former Vol finished tied for 62nd by shooting a three round total of 217 (+3). His best round of the weekend came in the last round as he shot a 68 (-3).
As for Porteous' team, England finished 8th in the tournament, which saw the United States take top prize. The England team shot a total of 418 (-10) and did well to finish in 8th considering tournament field consisted of 72 countries.
