Wendy Trott, Georgia
Women's 1650 Free
"It is great. The thing about all of this that means the most to me is being able to put Georgia in the books (by winning). Georgia has so many special records like this and for me to be a part of them is very special."
Martin Grodzki, Georgia
Men's 1650 Free
"It feels good to win, although, I'm unhappy with my time but pulling it out at the end felt good. I'm really looking forward to the NCAA when I'll be fully shaved and tapered, but I am proud to win for third time here."
Elizabeth Beisel, Florida
Women's 200 Back
"It means a lot to get the win especially on the last night here at the SEC meet. It has been such a long season. I have to thank Teresa Crippen (of Florida) for always being there with me through training and she deserves so much and is swimming really well. I am just glad I was able to get the win for the team."
Kyle Owens, Auburn
Men's 200 Back
"It feels good. We get in: me, Brandon, and Max, and we train together every single day. Since September all three of us were telling each other, when it comes down to it we need to be some of the fastest in the country, and we wanted to prove something here."
Megan Romano, Georgia
Women's 100 Free
"It was my last individual race so I wanted to do it for the team. I just wanted to get the points a little higher than they are right now."
Marcelo Chierighini, Auburn
Men's 100 Free
"It feels great. This is my second time in the SEC Championships. Last year I got fourth, and this year I got first. This is my favorite race so I feel really great."
Michelle McKeehan, Georgia
Women's 200 Breaststroke
"It is so exciting. Tennessee has put up a really energetic crowd and just knowing that coming into this meet for my class, this is the third time we've wanted to come in and defend our title; it has been an amazing experience. Being a senior and seeing it from this perspective for my last time here it has been so much fun to feed off of the energy from the crowd."
Nicolas Fink, Georgia
Men's 200 Breaststroke
"It feels great, knowing my whole team is right behind me, and bringing it to them, it's all a team effort, I'm glad I could do that and help out."
Kelsey Floyd, Tennessee
Women's 200 Butterfly
"After last year when I came into the event in first but ended getting second I wanted to be more relaxed and swim my own race and really be confident swimming the way I know how to swim (this year). That is what I did and it was great."
Marcin Cieslak, Florida
Men's 200 Butterfly
"It feels great but I think we're gonna get second as a team so I'm kind of sad but I'm happy that I won the race. My time was not great, it was not my best time. It was a good race, but I think it was pretty tough for me because I raced a lot of times so I was tired today but I was trying to do my best and I think I did."
Victoria Lamp, Tennessee
Women's Platform Diving
"I have practiced that dive and have done it as well as I could do it so many times. To be able to get up on the platform and do that dive was awesome. I was just really thinking I had to trust myself and finish the dive."
Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace, Auburn
Women's 400 free relay
"I knew going into the race this would be my only time to race the 100 free at the SECs so going into the race I wanted to give it everything I had and was able to put my team out in front."
Kyle Owens, Auburn
Men's 400 Freestyle Relay
"It feels so good to finally show the team what they mean to us and to me. Seeing everyone today step up is just awesome."
