Minneapolis, Minn. -- Sophomore Phillip Jones took top honors on the one-meter springboard at the Minnesota Diving Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.

"I am very pleased with the way our team is competing," head diving coach Dave Parrington said. "It has been an outstanding competition so far."

Jones scored 348.55 points to comfortably outdistance himself from second place finisher Timo Klami (308.80). In third place was Matt Bricker from Auburn and his teammate Caesar Garcia took fourth place.

Jake Dorsey dove to an eighth place finish with 262.2 points while freshman John Venditti tallied up 264.45 points in preliminaries, placing ninth.

The Minnesota Diving Invitational concludes Sunday with the platform competition.
