???We didn???t do enough to get any guys qualified but we certainly did better than yesterday,??? UT diving coach Dave Parrington said. ???Muscari did some really good things in the preliminaries, but then he slipped up on a couple of his dives by making a couple of aggressive mistakes. Rincon made the finals and it may have been his first finals ever in a major meet. He???s probably very pleased that he moved up a notch in the finals. Davis is disappointed he didn???t make the finals, but he was close. He certainly was right there in the mix.???
The championships host SEC schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, and South Carolina in addition to other top programs such as Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina and Virginia.
???We???re looking forward to tomorrow because the platform is Davis??? and Rincon???s best event,??? Parrington said. ???We did better today than yesterday, so we hope to do better tomorrow as well.???
Sunday is the third and final day of competition. Action starts at 2 p.m. (EST) with the platform competition.
