The University of Tennessee men's swimming and diving team travels to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats Oct. 24 in the first dual-meet of the season.

"We are very excited to start our season after extensive off-season workouts," head coach John Trembley said. "We are counting on having great senior leadership, but we also want to see how the freshmen react to their first collegiate competition."

Last week, sophomore Casey Dauw led the way during the Orange and White meet with three wins and was named swimmer of the meet. Dauw pulled the hat trick by winning the 200 freestyle, 200 butterfly and the 500 freestyle.

In the diving well, junior Phillip Jones came out early and won the one-meter, while freshman Jevon Tarantino took the three-meter title away from the defending NCAA champion.

"We are looking forward to racing against a traditional rival in Kentucky," Trembley said. "We expect them to swim some great races."

Tennessee has faced Kentucky 38 times and holds a 35-3 overall record against the Wildcats.
