Moved down to the No. 3 singles position and snapped 8-match losing streak, beating No. 48 Jonas Lutjen of Ole Miss and No. 75 Malte Stropp of Mississippi State ... Ran record to 3-0 to start at the No. 3 position with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Baylor's Robert Verzaal ... Clinched the Vols' 5-2 win at Arkansas with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 win over Matt Walters ... His eight singles victories tied for second-most on the team ... At that same tournament, Fickey and senior Bryan Swartz won the third-flight doubles title with an 8-6 win against Hugo Klientorsky and Niklas Schroeder of Eastern Kentucky ... Reached the doubles quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships with junior Edward Jones. The two lost to second-seeded and 25th-ranked Josh MacTaggart and Stephen Vogl 8-5.

Signed with Tennessee in November 2010 as the top-ranked player in the Volunteer State and a top-25 national blue-chip recruit by TennisRecruiting.net ...
