Enjoyed breakout spring season, winning 30 of 33 singles matches from January through May ... Entering NCAA Singles Championships -- his first national collegiate tournament -- as an unseeded entry, he forged run to the semifinals before falling to teammate Rhyne Williams in three sets ... Earned All-America honors in singles and was named All-SEC for the second time ... Ended sophomore year 37-6 overall in singles and 38-11 in doubles ... Anchored the No. 3 position in the singles lineup, going 21-2 and cracking the national top 50 for the first time in his career ... Joined the Vols in January and finished 23-5 in singles and 7-3 in doubles ... Finished the SEC season 10-0 at the No. 4 position to earn Second Team All-SEC honors ... Also earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team ... Enjoyed a 15-match winning streak, which lasted from March 5 through May 24 ... His three-set victory over Drake Bernstein clinched the Vols' 4-1 win over host Georgia in the NCAA semifinals.
