The Tennessee men's tennis team had all eight members playing this weekend win at least one match Friday, as the Vols won 15 of its 16 matches at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational in Murfreesboro and the Steve Baras Fall Classic in Chattanooga.

"The team had a fantastic day today," head coach Chris Mahony said. "Today was probably one of the most successful days of fall tennis that I've ever been around. Obviously, when you win 15 of 16 singles matches you've had a sensational effort. The team is looking strong, playing great tennis and we look forward to carrying the momentum tomorrow in both Murfreesboro and Chattanooga."

Juniors Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel both knocked off ranked opponents in the second round of Flight A1 singles at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational to advance to the semifinals. Cameron defeated Kentucky's Bruno Agostinelli, ranked 59th in the ITA preseason rankings, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Hensel defeated Marco Born of Middle Tennessee, ranked 88th, 7-6, 6-3. Cameron and Hensel will both face an SEC opponent in the semifinals.

Ben Rogers and Davey Sandgren also advanced to the semifinals in their flight, A2. Rogers defeated Henrik Lilja of Armstrong Atlantic State in the first round and Daniel Daudt of South Florida in the second to advance. Sandgren defeated Mississippi State's Christopher Doerr in the first round and Christian Bergh of AASU in the second. Both Vols face players from tournament host Middle Tennessee in the semifinals.

Kiril Tcherveniachki advanced to the semifinals of Flight A3, defeating Travis Sandlant of ETSU and Hunter Mills of Auburn in the first and second rounds. Freshman Chris Racz won his first round match over Memphis's Amrit Narasimhan but dropped his second round match to Sebastian Serrano of ETSU in a third-set-super-tiebreaker.

At the Steve Baras Fall Classic in Chattanooga, both Derek Stephens and Johnny Thornton won two matches. Stephens, playing in the "A" draw, defeated Leandro Zenklusen of Austin Peay and Andrey Yesipov of Tennessee-Martin in straight sets. Thornton, playing in the "B" draw defeated Lars Gratzki of Eastern Kentucky and Shaun Mead of Alabama-Huntsville to advance.
