Vols Finish at SEC Fall Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee men's tennis team finished up a final round of backdraw matches Sunday at the SEC Fall Classic on Vanderbilt's courts.

Junior Brandon Fickey pulled off the Vols' lone consolation win of the day. he beat South Carolina's Kyle Koch 6-4, 6-3.

Junior Hunter Reese, ranked 24th nationally, came up just short in scoring the highest-ranked victory of his career. He rallied from 5-1 down in the third set but could not complete the comeback, falling to No. 14 Svetan Mihov of South Carolina 6-7, 6-3, 6-4.

The Vols return to action next weekend. Three Vols are heading to pre-qualifying for the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Several others will be in Chattanooga.
