VOLS KEEP WINNING AT ITA SOUTHEAST REGIONAL

The Tennessee men's tennis team saw two of its doubles teams and three singles players win Saturday on the second day of the ITA Southeast Indoor Regional at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Ky.

Ben Rogers advanced to the round of 32 in singles with a come-from-behind win over 107th-ranked Peter Bjork of Kentucky. Rogers dropped the first set but after won the tie-breaker in the second and captured the third set for his second victory over a ranked opponent this season. Rogers advanced to the round of 16 with another come-from-behind win. Rogers defeated Evan Dufaux of Vanderbilt 2-6, 7-5, 6-3. The UT senior meets Alabama's Joseph Jung Sunday morning at 10:30.

Bobby Cameron and Davey Sandgren both advanced to the round of 32 with wins over Miami Hurricanes. Cameron defeated Josip Rupena 6-1, 6-3. Cameron's 13 wins this season is now tops on UT's team. Cameron lost in the round of 32 to Mississippi State's Ivan Bjelica 6-3, 6-1. Sandgren defeated Rupena's teammate, Hector Nieto 7-5, 5-7, 6-4. In the round of 32, Sandgren defeated Robbert Lathouwers of Auburn, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6. Sandgren is now 6-0 this season in three-set matches.

Kaden Hensel lost for only the third time this season when he fell to Middle Tennessee's Marc Rocafort 6-3, 7-6. Freshman Chris Racz fell to Ole Miss's Jakob Klaeson 7-6, 6-3.

In doubles, Tennessee saw all three of its tandems advance out of the first round. In the second round, 10th ranked Vol tandem Adam Hubble and Rogers defeated Martin Crockett and John Freeman 8-3. UT's Cameron and Hensel won their team leading 12th match together with an 8-6 victory over UTC's Razvan Axente and Badr Bouabdellah. UT's Sandgren and Kiril Tcherveniachki fell in the round of 32 to Middle Tennessee's duo of Marco Born and Andreas Siljestrom, ranked 3rd in the nation, 8-5.

The ITA Southeast Regional continues at the Kentucky Boone Tennis Center Sunday at 9 a.m. Champions in doubles and singles action will be crowned on Monday at the same location.
