Tennessee men's tennis players Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel continued their terrific fall Sunday, advancing to the quarterfinals of the doubles competition at the ITA Southeast Indoor Regionals played at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Ky.

Cameron and Hensel defeated Alabama's Saketh Myneni and Sammy Struyf 8-6 in the round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals. The UT juniors have had a great fall season going 13-3 and defeating six ranked opponents. Cameron and Hensel face another ranked opponent Monday morning in the semifinals against Georgia's Travis Helgeson and Matic Omerzel, ranked 27th.

The Vols other doubles team still alive, Adam Hubble and Ben Rogers fell to Georgia's Ricardo Gonzalez and Jamie Hunt 8-6 in the round of 16.

Rogers and Davey Sandgren the only two Vols left in the singles portion both failed to advance past Sunday. Sandgren won his third straight three-set match defeating 101st-ranked Danny Bryan of LSU 1-6, 6-3, 6-2. In all three of Sandgren's wins at the regionals, the UT freshman dropped the first set but fought back to win the next two. In the quarterfinals, Sandgren fell to Florida's Greg Ouellette 7-6, 6-2.

Rogers was defeated by Alabama's Joseph Jung 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in the round of 16.

"We had a fairly successful tournament as a team," head coach Chris Mahony said. "We won 13 singles matches and six doubles matches with one team still alive in the quarterfinals.

"On an individual note, Davey Sandgren had a very successful tournament. Making in into the quarterfinals of the indoor regionals as a freshman is a great feat and does not happen often."
