VOLS HOST DUKE BEFORE NATIONAL INDOORS
- The Vols are looking to bounce back from a 4-1 home loss last weekend to Illinois. Duke has already beaten Illinois 7-0 and has opened the year on a 6-match winning streak.
- Tennessee and Duke faced twice during the indoor season in 2011. Tennessee shut out Duke on the road 7-0, but four of the matches went three sets. The teams faced again in the ITA National Indoors semifinals, where Tennessee won 4-2 despite losses by John-Patrick Smith and Rhyne Williams, in addition to Tennys Sandgren being out of the lineup with illness. Edward Jones clinched the match on court 5.
- The Vols have won the doubles point in all six matches this season. Tennessee won the point in 24 of 29 matches in 2011.
- Sunday's match is Tennessee's final event before traveling to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships next week in Charlottesville, Va. The week after that, the Vols head to the Blue-Gray Championships in Montgomery, Ala.
