  • Saturday's contest marks the last non-conference match for the Vols (8-9) as all 12 SEC teams take the week off from league play. Baylor (9-6) is in the midst of a three-match road trip that has taken them from UCLA (L, 6-1), Tennessee and Kentucky.
  • Last Time Out: The Vols lost 4-3 to 12th-ranked Mississippi State at home, which also acted the final of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic. Jarryd Chaplin and Edward Jones picked up top-50 wins, and Brandon Fickey got his second ranked win of the weekend.
  • Doubles History: It's tough to research, but Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese came in at No. 7 in the doubles rankings Tuesday to become what is probably Tennessee's first all-freshman team to enter the national top 10. In the scope of college tennis, a freshman pair even playing -- let alone succeeding -- on court 1 is very rare.
