RETURN TO SEC PLAY
  • Friday marks the restart of SEC play after all 12 teams took the week off or played non-conference matches. Tennessee is coming off a 4-3 victory over Baylor while LSU lost 6-1 to second-ranked Ohio State at home.
  • Doubles History: It's tough to research, but Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese came in at No. 7 in the doubles rankings last week to become what is probably Tennessee's first all-freshman team to enter the national top 10. In the scope of college tennis, a freshman pair even playing -- let alone succeeding -- on court 1 is very rare.
  • A Look at Court 3: Brandon Fickey is on a 3-match winning streak and facing another freshman in Chris Simpson, who is 15-7 this year.
  • A Look at Court 5: Edward Jones has been the Vols' most consistent performer of late, compiling a 7-1 record in his last eight matches. He is player LSU's most consistent dual match player: senior Tom Knights, who is 20-8 this season.
