M Tennis: Vols vs. LSU

April 3, 2014

TENNESSEE vs. LSU
Friday, April 4 | 2 p.m. ET
Barksdale Stadium | Knoxville, Tenn.

The 20th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers host LSU and Arkansas in the final home weekend of the SEC tennis season.

With only two weeks to go before postseason, the Vols (13-9, 2-6 SEC) have just four more matches remaining before the SEC Championships. They take on No. 54 LSU on Friday at 2 p.m. and No. 59 Arkansas on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Vols' two seniors, Jarryd Chaplin and Colton Norton, will be honored during the Arkansas match.

Both players have been with the Vols for four years. Chaplin, from Sydney, Australia, is an All-SEC player who has started the last three seasons in the singles and doubles lineup and has recorded numerous key victories.

Norton, from Jackson, Tenn., joined the Vols as a walk-on during his freshman year and has been a key figure behind the scenes of Tennessee's on-court success. He is a three-time member of the ITA All-Academic Team and will be attending medical school next year.

Junior Hunter Reese looks to keep up his season-long success in his final home weekend of the year. Reese has stepped up to the top of the Vols lineup and has compiled a 24-7 record this year, including three wins against top-10 ranked opponents.

Reese and Mikelis Libietis enter this weekend back at the No. 1 national ranking in doubles. The Vol duo is 27-3 this year, including 16-1 in the spring. They've excelled their entire career during SEC play with a 23-4 record together in conference matches the last three years.
