Tennessee junior Ben Rogers was named to the 2006 SEC Men's Tennis Good Works Team by the league office.
A Kingsport native, Rogers participated in the annual National Student Athlete Day community service event, known as April Play Day, which brought more than 400 Boys and Girls Club members to campus for a day of fun and games. Rogers has also joined many of his teammates in helping with tennis clinics after tennis matches this past season.
The Good Works Team highlights athletes from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Rogers is a member of the Thornton Center Honor Roll, the SEC academic honor roll and was a member of the SEC freshman academic honor roll in 2004.
Rogers was named All-America last season for his play in doubles with partner Ockie Oosthuizen. This season, Rogers and his doubles partner Adam Hubble have been invited to the 32-team field for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
