Lang and Tweedt win Doubles Title

Tennessee freshmen William Lang and Jeremy Tweedt won two matches Sunday to capture the Division "B" doubles championship at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.

Lang and Tweedt started the morning off with an 8-3 win over Chris Nowak and Kyle Wishing of Middle Tennessee in the semifinals. In the finals, the UT freshmen defeated Georgia juniors Alex Hill and Chris Motes 8-3.

Lang, from Memphis, and Tweedt, from Paris, France, had not played together in doubles until this tournament. The duo won all three of their matches this weekend.

Tennessee returns to action next weekend when it travels to Lexington, Ky., for the Charles Fluitt Invitational.
