2002-Indoor- Secured his first All-America certificate of the 2002 season by running a 46.5 second leg on Tennessee’s second-place, 3:06.87, 4x400m relay (March 9) to seal the first Vols’ first-ever NCAA Indoor team title ... Chalked his name up for another school record with a second-place, 3:05.63 clocking in the 4x400m relay at the SEC Indoors (Feb. 24), running the second-best split of 46.1 on his second leg ... Notched his season-best 400m dash time of 47.43 to take 12th in the SEC prelims (Feb. 23) ... Helped the Vols to the Armory Invitational title with a role on the fifth-place, 3:13.50 finish in the 4x400m relay, while also finishing eighth in the 400m prelims with a 48.46 time ... Contributed another solid performance in Tennessee’s winning effort at the SEC Eastern Division Challenge with a 48.14, fifth-place finish in the 400m dash and an NCAA automatic-qualifying 3:09.68 on the second leg to win the 4x400m relay ... Led Vols off on runner-up, 3:10.49 clocking on the 4x400m relay at Virginia Tech’s Kroger Invitational.

2001-Outdoor- Won the Comeback of the Year Award with Camron Howard and Adrian Wheatley at track banquet...Perhaps Bell's greatest legacy in Volunteer lore to date is the fact he anchored the NCAA 4x400M relay team (3:07.95) to All-America honors...When Bell got the baton around the last lap and crossed the finish line cleanly to score the last and final point to cap Tennessee's 2001 NCAA Outdoor title, the Vol celebration began at Hayward Field...Fastest 400M dash of the year (47.25--ninth) came in the prelims of the Vols' SEC Championship run (May 12) in Columbia, S.C. ...Ran a 47.32 400M dash at the Baldy Castillo Invitational at Arizona State...Left his specialty to post his 800M run PR of 1:55.54 to take fourth at the Gatorade Track Classic in Knoxville...Ran his 200M dash PR of 21.81 at the SEC Quad in Starkville, Miss. ...A solid relay man, Bell anchored the three fastest Vol 4x400M relays of the season -- 3:04.56 in the NCAA prelims, 3:04.89 in the Baldy Castillo Invitational at Arizona State and 3:05.36 at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville...The season-best 3:04.56 4x400M relay clocking in the NCAA prelims (May 31) was important because it was the fifth-fastest time in school history and assured the Vols a chance to score their winning 50th point in the NCAA finals...Also helped Tennessee in the scoring column by anchoring the 4x400M relay team to third at the SEC Championships in 3:06.75...Ran the third leg of Tennessee's fourth-place sprint medley relay (3:17.10) at the Penn Relays.

Indoor- Led Tennessee with his 47.11 400M dash time...Peaked at the SEC Indoors with a career best in the 400M dash prelims (47.11) and season-best in the 4x400M relay (fourth, 3:09.60, Bell's 46.3 anchor split led the unit)...Finished ninth in the 400M dash finals at the SECs in 47.72...Took fourth in the 400M dash in 48.15 at the SEC Quad in Lexington, Ky. ...Clocked a 47.44 to take 17th in the preliminaries at the USA Indoors...Ran the second leg of Tennessee's season-best distance medley relay (yards) effort of 9:56.87 at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame...Ran anchor on the Vols' winning 4x400M relay efforts at the Pepsi Valentine's Invitational, ETSU Invitational and New Year's Invitational.

1999- Bell specialized in the 400M dash during the indoor season...Career best 400M dash time of 47.16 came outdoors at the Gatorade Track Classic (May 1) to place sixth... Bell posted his career-best 200M dash time at the Miami Invitational (April 17) as he broke the tape in 21.98 to stake claim to fifth place...Won the 400M dash at the Virginia Tech Invitational with a time of 48.00...Took second with a 48.11 at the Tennessee/Indiana/Ohio State three-way meet...Competed in the U.S. West Invitational in Colorado clocking a 47.35 (altitude time) to grab fourth...Came in eighth at the SEC Indoor Championships with a time of 48.03...Consistently posted the Vols' fastest splits in the 4x400M relay indoors and outdoors...Ran his fastest split of 45.9 on three occasions...Ran mostly the 200M dash in the outdoor season...Finished runner-up in the 200M dash with a time of 22.24 at the Tennessee/Georgia/Kentucky three-way meet in Athens, Ga.
