2011: Honors - First-team All-SEC indoors and out...Vol Indoor Most Improved Athlete and Vol Outdoor Most Valuable Athlete...Indoors - Bounced back from an injury-plagued 2010 outdoor season to win his fourth overall SEC title in the pole vault and second indoors, clearing 17-7 1/2 to prevail...Made his season debut at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational and carded a career-best, sailing over 17-8 ¾ to tie for second in the championship division...Finished second at the Texas A&M Challenge, navigating 16-9 ¾ in his only other indoor meet...Outdoors - Flew over the bar at 17-8 ¾ on a windy day in Athens, Ga., to seize his third career SEC Outdoor title and fifth overall league win...Second at the UT-UCLA Dual, traversing 17-0 ¾...Placed fifth at both the Penn Relays and Sea Relays with identical 16-7 marks...Cleared that same mark at the NCAA East Preliminary Round, but that wasn't strong enough to advance to nationals.
