The 9:05.14 clocking stood as the second-fastest by a Vol in 2004 ... Anchored Tennessee to its season-best 4x1,500 relay time, 15:51.29, to take third at the Sea Ray Relays ... Finished 10th in the SEC indoor mile final in 4:24.13 after running a 4:09.73 in the prelims, also the 10th-fastest qualifying time ... Finished third in the mile after breaking the tape in 4:14.21 at the Virginia Tech Invitational ... Opened his college track career with a 10th-place, season-best time of 1:54.36 in the 800 at the Kentucky Invitational (Jan. 17).

Cross Country 2006- Was named Most Valuable Runner, along with Tyler DeVault, at the team's banquet ... Lettered after running five of Tennessee's six races and leading the team in two of them ... Ended his senior campaign by leading the Vols in the 10K NCAA South Regional after finishing 17th overall ... Also led UT in the 8K Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic with his eighth-place overall finish ... Finished 16th overall and second on the team at the 8K SEC championship ... Crossed the finish line 129th overall and fourth on the team at the 8K Brooks Pre-Nationals (blue race) ... Finished his season by taking 35th with a 24:30.52 time at the 7.9K SEC championship ... Opened his season with a ninth-place finish and time of 24:34 at the 7.3K Tennessee Invitational ... Finished 15th, fourth among Vols, with a time of 25:03.27 to help lead Tennessee to the team win at the 8K Greater Louisville Classic (gold race) ... A superb relay man, Day anchored his team to indoor national titles in both the 4x800 relay and distance medley relay ... The top-flight anchor man also broke the tape first to win the Virginia state high school 4x800 relay indoor title ... Named all-state in cross country in 2001 and 2002 courtesy of third-place finishes ... Virginia native registered top times of 4:14.98 in the mile and 9:23.28 in the 3,200 run.
