2002-Outdoor- Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll ... Notched his PR of 30:05.55 en route to a 12th-place finish in the 10,000m run at the Penn Relays (April 25) ... Enjoyed his season-best, 5,000m run finish of 14:46.22 to nab eighth at the Sea Ray Relays (April 11) ... Helped Tennessee defend its 32-year home winning streak with a runner-up, 8:42.97 finish in the 3,000m run at the Gatorade Classic ... Ran the brutal distance double on Tennessee’s chase to the SEC Outdoor title, placing sixth in 30:58.79 in the 10,000m run and ninth in 15:00.56 in the 5,000m run.

2002-Indoor- Ran his lifetime-best 5,000m run time of 14:38.62 to take 25th in a crowded field at the Cannon IV Classic in IndianapolisInd. (Feb. 9) ... Helped Vols win SEC Eastern Division Challenge with a fourth-place, lifetime-best, 8:32.18 effort in the 3,000m run (Jan. 26) ... Ran 8:39.43 to take 14th in the 3,000m run at Virginia Tech’s Kroger Invitational ... Raced to a 13th-place, 14:57.55 finish in the 5,000m run at the SEC Indoors.

2001-Outdoor- Contributed the second-best 10,000M run for the Vols in 2001...Crossed the line in a personal-best 31:15.80 in the 10,000M run at the Penn Relays (April 26)...Clocked his season-best 5,000M run time (15:27.14) at the Sea Ray Relays (April 13)...Finished fourth in 15:40.54 in the 5,000M run at the Gatorade Track Classic in Knoxville...Took bronze in the 3,000M run in 8:54.50 at the Spring Gobbler Invitational at Virginia Tech.

2001-Indoor- Clocked a season-best 15:20.83 to finish the 5,000M run at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame...Notched a 3,000M run PR of 8:48.87 and ran a 4:36.28 mile at the ETSU Invitational.

2000-Outdoor- Ran a 9:02.24 in the 3,000M run at the SEC Quad (April 1)...Ran a 15:41.4 in the 5,000M run at the Clemson Relays (March 18) to earn seventh place.

2000-Indoor- Ran to fifth by posting a time of 8:52.70 in the 3,000M run at the UT All-Comers Meet (Feb. 18).

1999- Redshirted.

Cross Country 2002- Co-captain of squad with Eric Bell ... Won Captain’s Award ... Earned All-SEC and All-Region acclaim for his gutsy performances late in the season ... Ran in all seven races for Tennessee and scored in six ... Led the Vols with an eighth-place, 25:20.19 finish, his season-best 8K time, at the SEC Championships ... Contributed an important eighth-place finish, third among Vols, in 32:36.66 to help lead Tennessee to the 10K NCAA South Region Championships and a berth in the NCAA meet ... Stood as the fourth Vol and 186th overall with a 32:01.4 time at the 10K NCAA Championships ... Posted his season-best finish of fourth, second in the Vol pack, with a time of 25:46.0 to push the Tennesseans to victory in the 8K Furman Invitational.

Cross Country 2001- Competed in six of seven meets and scored in four...Finished 29th in three of those meets- the Auburn Invitational (25:33.76, his best 8K time), the SEC Championships (25:38.10) and the NCAA South Regionals (32:13.33)...Finished second within the Vol pack at the Auburn Invitational...Finished 200th in 32:06 (third among Vols) at the NCAA Championships.

Cross Country 2000- Co-captain of squad with Eric Bell...His fifth-place finish at the 5K Tennessee Intercollegiate (15:28) was the third-best Vol finish of the season...Took 11th (second-best Vol finish) in 26:15.10 at the UT Invitational...Placed 26th at the Greensboro Invitational thanks to clocking a 26:37...Competed at the SEC Championships, but did not finish because of injury.

Cross Country 1998- Finished ninth at the Western Carolina Invitational and 11th at the Tennessee Intercollegiates...Ran a 27:12 at the 8K SEC Championships to take 32nd.

HIGH SCHOOL- Posted top times of 9:32 in the 3,200M and 15:32 in the 5,000M...Named All-State in Group II...Holds school records in the 1,600M, 3,000M and the 3,200M...Attended high school at St. Joseph's for three years before transferring to St. John Vianney...Team at St. Joseph's won division in cross country and track all three years he attended there...Helped lead team to two county championships in cross country and one in track...Team took third in state cross country meet...During his senior year, DeFilippis led his team to the conference championship.
