2001-Outdoor- Earned Comeback of the Year honors along with Dwayne Bell and Adrian Wheatley at team banquet...Howard came up big at the SEC Outdoors (May 12) by posting his season-best leap of 25-7 1/2 to take fourth and prime the Vols to their first SEC Outdoor title in a decade ...Howard's 25-7 1/2 leap at the SECs also wrote his ticket the the NCAA Outdoors...Took seventh at the Georgia Tech Invitational with a 24-8 1/2 mark...Finished 10th with a 23-2 1/2 measurement at the Penn Relays...Fifth at the Sea Ray Relays with a 24-7 3/4 effort...Leaped 24-10 1/2 to win the Gatorade Track Classic in Knoxville...Took 12th at the NCAA Outdoors with a 24-9 1/4 measurement at Hayward Field.

2001-Indoor- Finished 15th at the USA Indoors with a 22-11 3/4 measurement...Earned sixth at the SEC Indoors with a 24-3 1/2 effort...Howard, Tennessee's ninth-best long jumper in school history, leaped a provisional 25-4 to win the long jump and set a Stokely Athletics Center record at the Tennessee All-Comers Meet (Jan. 7)...Won the long jump with a 23-9 mark at the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 2) at Notre Dame...Took second in the long jump (23-11 3/4) at the New Year's Invitational (Jan. 13) at Virginia Tech.

2000-Outdoor- Redshirted...Holds down the top spot in the Vol long jump corps...Jumped to a 25-6 3/4w provisional mark to win the long jump at the SEC Quad (April 1) before his knee injury...Ran a 11.00 100M dash at the Florida Relays.

2000-Indoor- Managed a NCAA provisional mark every time but one he competed this season...Leaped to the NCAA Indoors courtesy of his season-best long jump of 25-5 1/4 at the SEC Indoors in Fayetteville, Ark., (Feb. 26) to earn sixth... Took home first-place honors after his jump of 25-2 1/2 at the Kroger Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. ...Placed second after a 25-3 1/4 mark at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational...Finished second with a 24-11 3/4 effort at the SEC Quad in Lexington, Ky. ...Placed 11th with a 24-8 1/2 measure in the long jump at the NCAA Indoors.

1999- After overcoming surgery in February 1998, served as Tennessee's premier long jumper in 1999...Finished third in the long jump at the U.S. West Invitational in Colorado by leaping 24-5... Took eighth at the SEC Indoor Championships with a mark of 23-9... His fifth-place, season-best mark of 25-7 1/4 at the Sea Ray Relays enabled him to qualify for outdoor nationals...Placed eighth at the Penn Relays with a 22-2 1/4 effort...Jumped 24-11 1/4 at the SEC Outdoor Championships to stand seventh...Leaped 25-1 1/4 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships but missed the cut into the finals.

BEFORE TENNESSEE-
Competed at Tennessee State University in both track and football...Posted his career-best jump of 26-1 3/4 with Tennessee State in a meet in Lexington, Ky. (Jan. 31, 1998).

HIGH SCHOOL-
State champion in the long jump...Holds Tennessee state record for high school long jump and triple jump...State champion in 100M and 200M runner-up...Tullahoma High won regional in 1996...Three-time state long jump champion...1997 junior national champion in long jump.
