Won Most Improved Award at team banquet...Competed in four of seven meets...Best
finish came in the 5K UTC Invitational where he took sixth in 15:57, the second
Vol to cross...Posted best 8K time of 26:01.5 to take 65th at the Great American
Cross Country Festival...Finished 46th in 26:14.70 at the SEC Championships
in Auburn.
Cross Country 2000- Ran in every race of the season for the Vols and
scored in every race but one...Placed seventh, his best finish of the year,
in 15:40 at the 5K Tennessee Intercollegiate...Took 18th in 27:12.76 at the
8K UT Invitational...Ran a 23rd-place, 26:28 at the 8K Greensboro Invitational...Ran
to 57th in 26:44 at the 8K Wolverine Interregional Invitational...Was Tennessee's
third finisher and 41st overall by running a 27:17.54 at the SEC Championships...
Fourth Vol finisher and 45th overall after clocking a 33:01.37 at the South
Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL- Named
Gwinnett County Runner of the Year in 1998 and 1999...Earned a spot on All-Metro
Cross Country Team in 1998 and 1999...Took fifth in the 800M run and 1,600M
run at the 2000 Georgia state meet... Finished fourth at the Georgia state cross
country meet in 1998.
