Ran the brutal 5,000/10,000 double at the SEC outdoor championships ... Authored a 5,000 PR of 14:46.02 (May 16) to finish 15th and a 10,000 time of 30:47.25 to place 10th in his first SEC outdoor meet ... Stopped the clock at a lifetime-best 8:35.85 in the 3,000 to grab bronze honors at the Gatorade Classic (May 2) ... Nabbed sixth after running the 10,000 in 30:34.02 to open his outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays ... Clocked in at 15:05.30 in the invitational 5,000 at the Sea Ray Relays to finish 16th.

2003-Outdoor- Named Sophomore Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the university ... Made a habit of slicing big chunks of time off his previous lifetime bests ... Wasted no time rewriting his 5,000 PR with a 15:00.33 time to capture fifth in the Florida State Relays (March 20) ... Set his 1,500 lifetime-best effort of 4:02.44 to place 26th a week later at the Florida Relays (March 28) ... Ran his first 10,000 on the home track at the Sea Ray Relays (April 10), nabbing sixth in 31:26.58 ... Forced to pull out of the 10,000 at about the halfway mark after aggravating a leg injury at the Penn Relays.

2003-Indoor- Achieved his 3,000 season-best time of 8:43.88 to take 19th at Kentucky's McCravy Memorial (Feb. 8) ... Helped Tennessee to the SEC East Challenge victory with a sixth-place, season-best 15:18.83 worksheet in the 5,000 (Jan. 25) ... Improved his 3,000 time to 8:46.42 to open the season and take 19th at Virginia Tech's Kroger Invitational ... Clocked an 8:46.63 to finish 21st in the 3,000 at the Armory Invitational.

2002-Outdoor- Won James Snow Award for outstanding academic freshman at team banquet ... Selected as the Freshman Academic Achievement Award winner from a pool of all UT male student-athletes ... Redshirted.

2002-Indoor- Ran his season-best 3,000 time of 8:49.71 to take 18th at Virginia Tech's Kroger Invitational (Jan. 19) ... Crossed the 3,000 line in 8:51.25 to earn 10th at the Kentucky Invitational ... Clocked in at 15:41.36 in the 5,000 at the Cannon IV Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.

Cross Country 2005- Elected team co-captain with Zach Sabatino, his remarkable fourth term voted as captain in either track or cross country ... Won Vega-Watts Award earned by the Vol who makes the greatest sacrifice to compete for the team and the Captain's Award at team banquet ... Finished the open race at the 8K Pre-Nationals Invitational in 27:17.7 to place 114th.

Cross Country 2004- Reelected team captain ... Won Captain's Award at team banquet ... Redshirted after sustaining injuries in a traffic accident prior to season.

Cross Country 2003- Elected as team co-captain with Steve Klein ... Won Captain's Award at team banquet ... Lettered after a breakout season of remarkable consistency and improvement ...
