2002-Outdoor- Posted his best year as a Vol by upping his lifetime-best mark multiple times ... Career-best mark of 51-2 3/4 brought a bronze finish at the Sea Ray Relays (April 12) ... Got on the scoreboard to help the Vols to the SEC Outdoor title with a seventh-place, 49-6 1/2 mark in the triple jump ... Helped Tennessee defend its 32-year home winning streak at the Gatorade Classic with a runner-up, 48-10 1/4w finish in the triple jump ... Took second with a 48-4 3/4 mark to help the Vols to the Cal Invitational team title ... Finished ninth with a 47-10 3/4 measurement in the open section of his specialty at the Penn Relays ... Secured third to open the outdoor season with a 47-7 1/4 measurement in the triple jump at USCís Trojan Classic.

2002-Indoor- Peaked in the indoor season at the SEC Championships with a sixth-place, 50-8 1/4 triple jump effort to move the scoreboard for Tennessee (Feb. 24) ... Captured a crucial second-place, 49-8 1/4 finish to assist Tennessee to the SEC Eastern Division Challenge title ... Helped the Vols to the Armory Invitational title with a third-place, 49-7 3/4 mark in the triple jump.

2001-Outdoor- Redshirted because of injury.

2001-Indoor- Contributed his season-best triple jump measurement of 48-5 1/2 to capture third at the Tennesssee Indoor Invitational (Feb. 16)...Took 13th with a 48-2 1/2 leap at the SEC Indoors at Kentucky...Offered up a 47-4 1/4 effort to take silver in the triple jump at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational...Won the triple jump at the SEC Quad in Lexington, Ky., with a 46-6 leap...Took second with a 46-8 triple jump at the New Year's Invitational at Virginia Tech.

2000-Outdoor- Measured a season-best leap of 49-4 1/2 at the Sea Ray Relays (April 14) to finish fourth in the open section...Jumped 48-10 3/4w at the Georgia Tech Invitational... Competed at the USA Track and Field Junior National Championships and jumped 46-0 to miss out on qualifying for the World Junior Champion-ships...Jumped 48-11 1/2w to take 10th at the SEC Outdoors... Posted a 47-5 1/4 mark at the National Invitational Team Championships in Austin, Texas...Won the triple jump at the SEC Quad with a 48-4 1/2 measurement to give the Vols needed points.

2000-Indoor- Contributed his best triple jump of the indoor season at the Kroger Invitational (Feb. 11) in Blacksburg, Va., by leaping 48-10 to finish seventh...Marked a 48-5 1/2 effort to finish 12th at the SEC Indoors...Jumped 48-2 3/4 to stake claim to fourth place at the SEC Quad.

1999- Took top honors for the Volunteers in the triple jump last season...Best indoor triple jump mark of 48-7 1/2 came at the SEC Indoors where Mershon took seventh...Also notched a 48-7 1/2 at the IKON Invitational in Johnson City...Earned second in the triple jump at the Tennessee/Indiana/Ohio State three-way meet with mark of 47-5 3/4...Runner-up at the Virginia Tech Invitational after leaping 46-7 1/2...Outdoors, took championship at the Tennessee/Georgia/
Kentucky three-way meet with leap of 46-9...Placed sixth at the Penn Relays in the triple jump...Finished 12th at the USA Junior National Championships...Career-best mark of 49-5 1/2 came at the Sea Ray Relays where Mershon took 10th...Placed ninth at the SEC Outdoors with mark of 47-2 1/4.
