2001-Outdoor- Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll...Developed into one of
the top throwers on the squad with the second-best hammer mark (176-3) and third-best
discus mark (177-0) in 2001...Doubled at the Florida Field Events Invitational
with fourth-place finishes in the discus (160-6) and hammer (173-9)...Won the
open discus section on the big stage at the Penn Relays (April 27) with a career-best
177-0 heave...Notched career best hammer throw of 176-3 to earn bronze, in addition
to taking silver in the discus (159-3), at the Spring Gobbler Invitational (April
21)...Threw the hammer 175-6 in the open section at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville...Took

stable with a career-best 58-8 3/4 mark to earn victor's laurels on the home
track at the Tennessee Indoor Invitational (Feb. 16)...Got on the scoreboard
with an eighth-place, 57-11 1/4 mark in the weight throw at the SEC Indoors...Earned
third with a 56-8 mark in the weight throw at the SEC Quad at Kentucky...Second
in the weight throw with a 56-0 1/2 measurement at the Tennessee All-Comers

2000-Outdoor- Flung the discus a season-best 160-5 to take fifth and
marked a 166-10 in the hammer throw to earn sixth to open the outdoor season
at the Hurricane Invitational (March 18)...Marked his career-best hammer throw
of 166-11 at the National Team Invitational Championships in Austin, Texas (April
21)... Placed 11th in the hammer with a 161-8 mark at the SEC Outdoors...Competed
at the SEC Outdoors in the discus, but fouled and did not register a mark...
Measured a 164-6 hammer mark to earn seventh at the Knoxville Invitational...Finished
sixth in the hammer (158-11) and seventh in the discus (151-11) at the SEC Quad...Hurled
the discus 152-11 in the open section of to take ninth at the Florida Relays.
Indoor- Achieved career-best weight throw mark of 52-9 1/2 to place sixth
at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational (Jan. 29)...Fourth at the UT All-Comers
Meet with a 49-7 1/4 mark in the weight throw... Fouled in the weight throw
at the SEC Indoors.
1999- Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll...Best effort of the indoor season
came at the Tennessee/Indiana/Ohio State three-way meet where Pitlik finished
fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 47-6 1/2...Took 10th at the Virginia
Tech Invitational after a 45-3 1/2 heave...Posted a 45-1 to take ninth at the
Rod McCravy Memorial... As the outdoor season approached, he turned to discus
and hammer competition...Achieved his high mark of 166-11 in discus at the Sea
Ray Relays to finish ninth...Career-high hammer mark of 159-4 came at the Tennessee/Georgia/Kentucky
three-way meet to earn sixth...Had a throw of 157-1 to place fifth in the discus
and second in the hammer (149-4)...Sixth in the discus with a 160-5 at the Gatorade
Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL- Participated on squads that won the 1996 State Team Relays
Championship and the 1997 Regional Relays Championship...Holds the 1996 State
