2008: Indoors - Finished the mile in 4:34.50 at the Virginia Tech Challenge, his only attempt at that distance during the indoor season...Recorded his personal-best time of 8:32.40 in the 3,000m at the New Balance Invitational...Outdoors - Stopped the clock in a personal-best time of 15:03.44 in the 5,000m at the SEC Championships...Also at the conference championship meet, he finished 17th in the preliminaries of the 1,500m...Finished second in the mile with his personal-best time of 4:14.35 at the Smoky Mountain Twilight...Ran a then-personal-best time of 15:04.30 in the 5,000m at the Penn Relays...Ran to a sixth-place finish in the invitational section of the 5,000m, his first collegiate race at that distance, at the Sea Ray Relays...Finished sixth in the 3,000m with his time of 8:35.21 at the Tiger Track Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won the 2006 Virginia State Cross Country Championship...Claimed back-to-back state championships on the track in the 3,200m and won the 1,600m at the 2007 state meet...Finished 23rd at the 2007 Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships...Anchored distance medley relay team to All-America honors in 2006 and 2007...Earned individual All-America status in the two mile and 5,000m in 2007.
