place with only 150 meters to go, Sylvester found a crack in the pack in front
of him, passing everyone on a mad 50-meter dash to the finish line at the SEC
Outdoors to freeze the clock at 1:46.56, his season-best (May 18) ... The time

... Capped his sophomore season with a 1:49:37 time at the USA Outdoor Championships
to take 12th in the semifinals ... Pieced together a solid 1,500m run debut,
clocking in at a regional-qualifying 3:49.53, best among Vols in 2003, in his

a 1:46.3 split, to make up a deficit and then hold off South Carolina's

at the Penn Relays ... The Vol sprint medley quartet posted a 3:14.41 steamer,
the second-fastest time in school history, at Penn's venerable Franklin
Field ... Also anchored the fourth-place, 4x800m relay team to a 7:21.91 effort

feat in 1994 ... Raced to his lifetime-best 800m run clocking of 1:46.21 to
take sixth and earn All-America acclaim at the NCAA Outdoors (May 30) ... The
smoking 1:46.21 stands as the second-fastest ever by a Volunteer ... Wrote his
ticket to the NCAA meet with a 1:46.79, a NCAA automatic qualifier, in a third-place

winning 4x800m relay (7:25.45) to take home the top prize at the Sea Ray Relays
