2002- Ran in all seven races of the season and scored in five ... Earned All-Region honors ... Stood as the only Vol to win a race when he took the 8K Tennessee Invitational title (Sept. 13) in 26:18.5 to lead the Vols to their first team win of the season ... Posted his top 8K time of 25:40.2 in a 50th-place finish (fourth among Vols) at the Indiana State Invitational ... Played a critical role in Tennessee securing a spot at the NCAA Championships with his sixth-place (second among Vols) finish in 32:29.41 at the 10K NCAA South Regionals on the home course ... Crossed in 32:38.2 to take 218th (sixth among Vols) at the 10K NCAA Championships ... Finished 12th (fifth among Vols) in 26:03.3 to help Tennessee capture the 8K Furman Invitational title ... Opened the season with a 25:46 clocking at Notre Dame's adidas Invitational to garner 19th, fourth among Vols ... Competed in the SEC Championships, but did not finish.

2001 - Kelly was an integral part of Tennessee's cross country resurgence ... Ran and scored in all seven meets, the only Vol to do so ... Never finished lower than fourth in the Vol pack (first-once, second-four times, third-once and fourth-once) ... Earned All-Region honors courtesy of his 10th-place, 31:34.58 (the second-best 10K time by a Vol in 2001) at the NCAA South Regionals, a key reason Tennessee rallied to gain a NCAA Championships berth ... Finished 16th in the SEC Championships with a 25:02.13 clocking to just miss All-SEC honors by one spot ... Led Tennessee with a second-place, 15:51 effort at the 5K UTC Invitational, the best finish by a Vol all season ... Had Tennessee's second-best 8K time of 24:51.3 at the Great American Cross Country Festival (17th) ... Placed 211th in 32:24 at the NCAAs.

BEFORE TENNESSEE - Kelly transferred from American University in time for the 2001 track season...Kelly found his way to the top of the current Vol steeplechase list with his rookie distance efforts...In cross country at American, Kelly ran a 25:57 to take 16th at the 8K 1999 CAA Conference Championships.
