2008: Named Most Improved Runner at team banquet...Competed in all six races as a sophomore, scoring five times...Placed 33rd overall and fourth among Vols at the 10K NCAA South Regional in 32:45.63...Placed 35th overall and fourth among UT runners at the SEC Championships with a clocking of 25:11.85...Placed 28th overall and first among Vols at the Greater Louisville Classic in a season-best 8K time of 24:39.87.

2007: Just missed scoring at the 8K ISU Pre-Nationals and the 10K NCAA South Regional...Finished 55th overall at the 8K SEC Championship...Was the fifth Vol across the finish line at the 8K Greater Louisville Classic...Finished 45th overall at the 8K Covered Bridge Open.

2006: Competed in four meets as a freshman...Best 8K clocking came at the Greater Louisville Classic, where his 27:33.98 effort was good for 234th overall...Ran the 5K Chattanooga Invitational course in 16:30 to place 25th, seventh among UT runners.

High School: Left with school records in five events...Won the 3,200 at the conference championship meet as a senior...Won the individual cross country conference championship in 2004...Named first-team all-state for cross country and for academics in 2006.

Personal: Majoring in civil engineering...Born Dec. 26, 1987, in Springfield, Ore., to Tom and Mary Rapp...Both parents were All-America runners and lettered in track at Penn State from 1978-81...Mom was a 1,500m finalist at the 1980 Olympic Trials...His dad helped coach Chris in high school...Family includes sister Megan.
