KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee's men's and women's cross country teams have been recognized for their efforts in the classroom, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week.

The Lady Vols, coached by J.J. Clark, and the Vols, directed by George Watts, were named USTFCCCA 2010 Division I Cross Country All-Academic Teams. They were among 192 institutions around the country so honored for having a team grade point average of 3.00 or better and starting at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional meets.

The Lady Vols, who were cited for the fourth consecutive season, posted a 3.39 cumulative team GPA. The Vols made the cut once again, this time with a 3.05 effort.
