• Tonight's starters: junior Angie Bjorklund, sophomores Alyssia Brewer, Kelley Cain and Shekinna Stricklen, and freshman Taber Spani

• The Thompson-Boling Arena mark for low attendance for a bad weather game was when 1,461 came out to see the Lady Vols down Mississippi State, 91-63, after an ice storm pummeled East Tennessee on Jan. 2, 1991. Tonight's actual attendance was 1,462
• Tennessee held South Carolina without a field goal for 5:33 midway through the first half and turned a 19-14 deficit into a 31-20 lead
