SIMMONS IN THE CHARTS Senior guard Meighan Simmons finished the game with 19 points, her 13th double figure scoring outing this year.
Simmons seems to find Memorial Gym to her liking, tallying 23 points there last season and 20 as a sophomore in her past two trips.
With her 19 points on the day, she surpassed Shanna Zolman (1,706) on UT's all-time career scoring chart. She now has 1,710 career points, sitting in 11th and just 19 points out of the top-10
OWNING THE GLASS In the first half, UT had a 22-17 advantage in rebounds over Vandy.
Tennessee finished the game with 40 boards compared to the Commodores' 31.

AT THE HALF At the halfway point, the Lady Vols led 30-29 over the Commodores, despite not having junior Isabelle Harrison who sat out after two fouls within the first couple minutes of action.
Meighan Simmons led the team with 12 points while freshman Mercedes Russell had a team-leading five rebounds.
UT outrebounded Vanderbilt, 22-17, in the first 20 minutes of action.
Tennessee outscored VU in the paint, 20-10, during the first half.
