NCAA Notes Tuesday's game marks the first time UL and UT have met in the postseason, and the first win for the Cardinals over UT.
Louisville holds a 1-0 edge over the Lady Vols in the postseason, but Tennessee has a 3-1 record overall against Louisville.
The Lady Vols are now 115-24 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.

Tennessee Notes With the loss, the Lady Vols finish the first season of the Holly Warlick era at 27-8.
UT trailed by 15 at the half, the most the Lady Vols have been behind at the halfway mark since trailing Baylor by 25 on Dec. 18, 2012.
Senior Taber Spani led the team in scoring with 18 points, one of five Lady Vols to net double-digit scoring on the night.
In addition, senior Kamiko Williams finished out her UT career with a 12-point effort against the Cardinals.
Williams hit double figures in scoring in three of four NCAA contests this year (Creighton, 15; Oklahoma, 15, Louisville, 12).
Despite not hitting her first field goal until late in the second half, Meighan Simmons finished the game with 12 points connecting on 4-of-12 shooting from behind the arc.
With her 12 points on the night, Simmons passed Dena Head 1,483 for 20th place on the UT all-time scoring chart and at the end of her junior season has 1,487 career points.
The double-digit effort was her 23rd in the last 24 games and 31st of the season.
Also in double-digits were sophomore Isabelle Harrison (11) and freshman Bashaara Graves (11).
Graves added 10 rebounds to go along with her 11 points, marking her 10th double-double of the season, tying Candace Parker who also had 10 double-doubles in her first season at Tennessee.
