Tennessee Game Notes: Carson-Newman (Exhibition), November 5, 2009

Notes... • Today's starters: Junior Angie Bjorklund, Sophomores Alicia Manning, Shekinna Stricklen and Kelley Cain, and freshman Taber Spani

• Six Lady Vols scored in double figures: Johnson (22), Bjorklund (21), Manning (18), Spani (17), Cain (16) and Stricklen (12)

• Sophomore Glory Johnson tallied a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds

• The Lady Vols held the Lady Eagles scoreless until the 17:15 mark of the first half

• Tennessee opened with a 16-3 run to the 14:23 point of the first half

• In the first half, UT went on runs of 8-0 (2:45), 8-0 (2:54), 21-0 (4:54) and 17-0 (4:08)

• Tennessee's largest lead of the first half was 48 with 2:55 before the break

• In the second half, the Lady Vols went on runs of 22-0 (7:53) and 13-1 (3:05)

• For the game, UT shot 62.3 percent from the field

• The 124 points are the fifth most scored by the Lady Vols in exhibition play

• The 90-point margin of victory is the third largest in Lady Vol exhibition contests

• This marks the 17th time in exhibition play that Tennessee has scored at least 100 points

• Up Next: The Lady Vols will host Delta State in their final exhibition game on Monday, Nov. 9. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena.

• Tonight's attendance was 12,363

Freshman Taber Spani: Scored in double figures with 17 points, to go with nine boards

Sophomore Alicia Manning: Finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals

Converted 8-of-9 free throws

Sophomore Kelley Cain: Finished with 16 points, eight boards and six blocks

Sophomore Glory Johnson: Posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds

Made 6-of-8 free throws

Sophomore Shekinna Stricklen: Tallied 12 points and seven assists

Junior Angie Bjorklund: Had tonight's first basket, a 13 foot jumper at the 19:51 mark

Had nine of UT's first 12 points

Scored 21 points, added five boards, three assists and three steals
