Burdick and Simmons are the only Lady Vols to have started every game of the 2012 season.
Bashaara Graves was the first to score for the Lady Vols as she sank two free throws after a foul. It was the first time this season that a free throw accounted for the first point for Tennessee.
Taber Spani was the first sub of the day for the Lady Vols.

With 15 points, Spani has hit the double digit scoring mark in three of the last four games.
At the half, Spani was a perfect 3-3 from the 3-point line, as she tallied a team-leading 15 points in the first 20 minutes of action.
It is the 11th time in Spani's career that she has made 3-plus 3-pointers.
Spani's 15 points are the most for the senior since scoring 22 against Virginia last year.
SPREADING THE OFFENSE AROUND Six Lady Vols saw the double-digit mark in scoring as Meighan Simmons led the team in her return to her home state, for the sixth time this season, with 18 points.
It is the second time this season that the Lady Vols have had six players hit the double digit mark in a game.
Bashaara Graves has netted double figures in all eight games this season with 14 today also notching her third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds.
Jasmine Jones ties her career high in points with 10.
The Vols bench outplayed Texas as 30 points came from Tennessee's bench compared to Texas' 8.
Ariel Massengale initiated many of the baskets dishing out seven of the team's 14 assists while also finishing with 15 points, tying her season high set previously against Middle Tennessee.
TAKING CHARGE Freshman Jasmine Jones took her second charge of the season.
STATS AT THE HALF The Lady Vols tallied 45 points in the first half, the fifth time this season the team has scored more than 40 points in the first 20 minutes of action. Tennessee led 45-27 at the half.
Senior Taber Spani led the crew with 15 points in the first half. She went a perfect 3-3 from the 3-point line.
Jasmine Jones led the team in boards at the half as she grabbed five. Bashaara Graves and Spani each snagged four rebounds.
The Lady Vols outrebounded the Longhorns 27 to 20, while forcing 11 Texas turnovers. From those turnovers, Tennessee produced 13 points.
UP NEXT Tennessee rounds out its trip to the Lone Star state Tuesday as the team travels to Waco to take on the third-ranked Baylor Bears.
