·Led by Shekinna Stricklen's 18 points and career-best 16 rebounds, the Lady Vols defeated South Carolina 71-56 on Thursday to improve to 6-0 in the SEC.

· Stricklen is averaging nearly a double double (10.1 ppg and 9.7 rpg) in seven away games this season. Junior center Kelley Cain leads the SEC in blocks at 2.3 bpg. She had a season-high six versus the Gamecocks.

· Auburn improved to 5-1 in the SEC with a 45-41 win at Mississippi State on Thursday where Blanche Alverson and Alli Smalley both matched their season averages with 11 points apiece.
