KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The ninth-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols (16-3) prepare to take on No. 2/3 Notre Dame (18-1) in a game featured on ESPN's Big Monday presented by Bud Light at 7 p.m. Eastern time. ESPN2 will televise the game, while WatchESPN.com provides online coverage.
Fans are encouraged to wear orange to Thompson-Boling Arena on Monday night, as the matchup is being dubbed by the Lady Vols as their "Orange-Out" game. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and fans should be in their seats 20 to 25 minutes prior to tipoff to see Pat Summitt's banner raised to the rafters.
Summitt's banner will be the 11th hoisted at Thompson-Boling Arena, including five honoring her former players. One of those belongs to her protégé, UT Head Coach Holly Warlick, whose team will be trying to avenge a 72-44 loss to the Fighting Irish in South Bend on Jan. 23, 2012.
The 1991 NCAA National Championship trophy will be on display on the concourse level outside of section 116 near gate F prior to the game. Fans may pose for photos with the Lady Vols' third piece of victory hardware.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at UTTix.com or by calling the UT Ticket Office at 656-1200. One option is the Four-Point Play, where fans can purchase four or more tickets to any combination of games. With each ticket purchased, they will also receive a voucher for a hotdog and drink.
