·The Lady Vols captured their 16th SEC regular season championship on Monday night with a 77-44 win over No. 22 Georgia at Thompson-Boling Arena. UT has won 25 straight SEC regular season contests.

· This is UT's second meeting with Mississippi this season. Behind an 18-point, 13-rebound performance from Shekinna Stricklen and an 18-point, 8-for-10 shooting effort by Meighan Simmons, the Lady Vols crushed the Rebels, 86-46, on Jan. 9 in Knoxville.

· Ole Miss has been led as of late by freshman guard Valencia McFarland (11 double-figure games in SEC play).
