Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball Championship Gear

DULUTH, Ga. -- The Lady Vols won their league-leading 17th SEC Tournament title on Sunday, defeating the Kentucky Wildcats, 71-70, at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

With 1:45 left in regulation, senior Meighan Simmons gave Tennessee the lead -- they would not relinquish -- on her 2,000th career point, the second of two free throws, putting UT up 65-63. She is just the fifth Lady Vol in program history to score 2,000 or more points during her career at Tennessee.

Junior Isabelle Harrison was named SEC Tournament MVP. Through the three games in the tournament, Harrison averaged 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. She was named to the 2014 SEC All-Tournament Team. Her fellow junior teammate Cierra Burdick also earned All-Tournament honors.

Tennessee will await its NCAA Tournament fate when the NCAA Selection Show takes place on Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. UT will host NCAA First and Second Rounds on March 22 and 24.
