KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee had its final practice Friday afternoon before beginning play in the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The Lady Vols (27-5), who are the No. 1 seed in the Louisville Regional, will face No. 16 seed Northwestern State (21-12) in an NCAA First Round contest at approximately 4:05 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN2. The winner of that game will play on Monday at 9 p.m. ET against the winner of Saturday's other first-round game, No. 8 St. Johns (22-10) and No. 9 Southern Cal (22-12).
Friday's activities included a news conference with the media covering the games in Knoxville, and a practice lasting an hour and a half. Head coach Holly Warlick, along with senior Meighan Simmons and juniors Cierra Burdick and Isabelle Harrison represented UT in the news conference, and the rest of the team participated in interviews with members of the media in the Lady Vol locker room.
