KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- With the 2013 SEC regular season champion Lady Vols standing behind her on the infield, Tennessee women's basketball head coach Holly Warlick threw out the first pitch Friday night at the softball game between UT and Texas A&M at Sherry Parker Lee Stadium.
After getting some pointers from her standout guard Meighan Simmons, the righty made an under-handed delivery to Tennessee catcher Hannah Akamine.
Prior to the game, Warlick's squad also was recognized for winning the program's 17th all-time regular season league title. She was saluted as SEC Coach of the Year, while Simmons and rookie Bashaara Graves were applauded for winning SEC Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year, respectively, this season.
Tennessee plays an NCAA First Round game at Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m. Eastern time vs. Oral Roberts.
