COLORADO Springs, Colo. - It's going to be a busy summer for Tennessee rising senior Cierra Burdick. The 6-foot-2 forward helped her team, Takeover, roll undefeated through the weekend and claim the 2014 USA Basketball Women's 3x3 National Championship.

Joining Sara Hammond (Louisville/Mt. Vernon, Ky.), Jewell Loyd (Notre Dame/ Lincolnwood, Ill.) and Tiffany Mitchell (South Carolina/Charlotte, N.C.), Burdick helped Takeover win its final contest, 21-15, over 2013 champ FST-Long Island on Sunday and finish 7-0 in the tournament.

As winners of the USA Basketball 3x3 National Championship, Takeover earned the right to represent the United States at the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Championship that will be played June 5-8 in Moscow, Russia. In addition to that international excursion, Burdick will be spending the rest of her summer in New York City, where she'll be serving an internship with ABC's Good Morning America show.

Burdick started 25 of Tennessee's 35 games in 2013-14, averaging career bests of 8.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. She helped the Lady Vols to a 29-6 overall record and SEC Tournament title, earning all-tourney accolades for her play.

2014 marks the second edition for the biennial world championship. At the inaugural 2012 FIBA 3x3 World Championship, which was held in Athens, Greece, the USA women's team, featuring Skylar Diggins, Bria Hartley, Chiney Ogwumike and Ann Strother, captured the gold medal with a perfect 9-0 record.

The second FIBA 3x3 World Championship is expected to feature 24 men's teams and 24 women's teams. In addition to the men's and women's 3x3 tournaments, included in the 2014 3x3 World Championship program for the weekend will be skills contests, giving athletes additional chances to win medals.

In addition to the USA Basketball 3x3 squad, nations competing for the 2014 3x3 World Championship gold medal will be: Andorra, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, host Russia, Spain, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda and Uruguay.
