BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference unveiled the 2013-14 women's basketball television schedule on Wednesday morning, and the defending league champion Tennessee Lady Vols will be featured on TV 22 times this season.
All 16 Big Orange SEC contests will be televised, and every road game except the season opener at Middle Tennessee and the two games in the Junkanoo Jam will be carried by at least a regional television network. Those three non-televised tilts, however, are slated for live streaming on the internet.
UT will have eight games on the ESPN family of networks, including a home ESPN telecast vs. Kentucky on Feb. 16 (1 p.m.) and ESPN2 games at North Carolina on Nov. 11 (9 p.m.), at Vanderbilt on Jan. 12 (3 p.m. CT), at home vs. Notre Dame on Jan. 20 (7 p.m.), at Texas A&M on Jan. 26 (3 p.m. CT) and at home vs. Vanderbilt on Feb. 10 (9 p.m.). UT plays an ESPNU game on Feb. 2 at Alabama (3:30 p.m. CT) and ends the season at home vs. South Carolina on March 2 in a senior day game slated for 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
SportSouth will carry six games (Georgia Tech, Texas, Troy, Florida and Arkansas at home and Georgia on the road). CSS will televise six (LSU, Ole Miss and Auburn at home, and Mississippi State, Ole Miss and LSU on the road), while SEC TV (Feb. 23 at Missouri) and Pac-12 TV Network (Dec. 21 at Stanford) have the other two.
Five non-televised home games (vs. Carson-Newman, Chattanooga, Oakland, Tennessee State and Lipscomb) will be live streamed on UTSports.com, free of charge.
