KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Two new faces of the Lady Vol basketball program were introduced to Big Orange Nation Monday night, as the Tennessee Fund hosted UT donors for "Meet The Women's Basketball Incoming Class."
Lady Vol supporters gathered in Thompson-Boling Arena to get a look at newcomers Mercedes Russell and Jordan Reynolds and wanting to learn more about the freshmen they'll be seeing on the court during the 2013-14 season.
Voice of the Lady Vols Mickey Dearstone served as the evening's emcee, introducing the new players and conducting question-and-answer sessions with each to help everyone learn more about Rocky Top's newest members of the women's hoops program.
Also making an appearance were head coach Holly Warlick, as well as new staff members Ashley Bonck Wilson, the team's associate director of sports medicine, and Lee Taylor, associate strength and conditioning coach.
Russell, Reynolds and their teammates will make their season debut on Nov. 4, as Carson-Newman comes to town for an exhibition game at 7 p.m.
