Nov. 29, 2012

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- In addition to a marquee matchup on the basketball court at the Tennessee vs. North Carolina women's game on Sunday, fans also will be treated to special musical guests performing Motown Classics.

Scheduled to sing the National Anthem and perform at halftime are members of The Temptations Revue, a tribute featuring Nate Evans. The group performs a popular show at a theatre in nearby Pigeon Forge.

Evans, who performed alongside the original members of The Temptations, headlines a group that sings such 60's classics as "My Girl," "Just My Imagination," "Get Ready," Ain't Too Proud To Beg" and "The Way You Do The Things You Do" among an incredible catalog of hits.

The Temptations were recognized worldwide for their silky smoothness, choreography, distinct harmonies and definitive style. They recorded more than 50 albums, with 50 pop and 51 R&B singles climbing into the top 10, and are members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The No. 16/14 Lady Vols (5-1) meet the No. 22/RV Tar Heels (7-0) at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Thompson-Boling Arena. Fox Sports South will televise the game live, with expanded coverage via Fox Sports Tennessee and Fox Sports Carolinas, regionally, and MyVLT, locally.

The game also can be heard on Lady Vol Network stations and via the internet at UTSports.com. For ticket information, go to www.UTTix.com or call 1-800-332-VOLS.
