HONOR ROLL OF LADY VOL NCAA CHAMPIONS

The few. The proud. The NCAA Champions. Since Pat Head Summitt arrived in Knoxville in 1974, only 147 women have been selected to wear the orange and white of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers.  Of that elite group, every player who has completed her eligibility at UT has played in at least one Final Four during her career.

Fifty-eight players have earned the distinction of being an "NCAA Champion" during their playing days at the University of Tennessee. That's practically 40 percent! And that is truly remarkable. Additionally, almost 50 percent of the 58 players have brought home two or more titles.

A total of 12 coaches have helped to bring the seven titles to the Knoxville campus. The common denominator of the eight championships with Coach Summitt is associated head coach Holly Warlick. Former assistants Mickie DeMoss (1987. 1989, 1991, 1996, 1997 and 1998) and Al Brown (1996, 1997 and 1998) are the only two former aides with more than three titles. Current assistants Nikki Caldwell and Dean Lockwood picked up their first and second national titles as coaches in 2007 and 2008. Six graduate assistant coaches have had the opportunity to experience one title each.
